For the Chicken:
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (pounded to even thickness, about 4 breasts)
- 1 to 2 teaspoons 21 Salute Seasoning or poultry seasoning
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)
For the Sauce:
- ½ cup white wine or chicken broth (more if necessary)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (or more for extra sauce)
- 1 tablespoon garlic (finely minced, or to taste)
- 2 teaspoons fresh parsley (optional for garnishing)
Instructions
1. Prepare and Sear the Chicken
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the chicken evenly with 21 Salute seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Place chicken in the skillet and cook for 5 minutes without disturbing it to achieve a golden sear.
- Flip the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes until fully cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.
2. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- Deglaze the skillet by adding white wine (or chicken broth). Let it bubble and steam for a few seconds.
- Add the butter and stir until melted (about 1 minute).
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute).
3. Finish the Dish
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it in the garlic butter sauce.
- Spoon additional sauce over the chicken and garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
