Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tub Philadelphia Cheesecake NO BAKE filling
- 20 Reese’s OREO cookies, crushed (plus extra for decoration)
- 1 bottle Smucker’s Magic Shell – Chocolate Fudge
- 1 bottle Reese’s Peanut Butter topping
- Optional: additional Reese’s OREO pieces for garnish
Instructions
- Make the crust – Begin by thoroughly crushing approximately 20 Reese’s OREO cookies until they form a coarse crumb. Evenly distribute these crumbs across the bottom of your serving bowl or springform pan, creating a uniform base. Drizzle a small amount of Magic Shell chocolate sauce over the crumbs to act as a binding agent – work quickly as this sauce hardens rapidly. Place the crust in the freezer for 5 minutes to set completely.
- Add the cheesecake layer – Remove the Philadelphia No-Bake Cheesecake Filling from its container and carefully spread it over the prepared cookie crust. Use a spatula to create a smooth, even surface. Place the dessert in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to allow the filling to firm up slightly.
- Make the Reese’s swirl – Take the partially chilled cheesecake and generously drizzle Reese’s Peanut Butter Topping across the entire surface. Sprinkle additional Reese’s OREO crumbs or pieces over the peanut butter layer. For an authentic “Japanese cheesecake look,” you can optionally use a toothpick to create gentle swirls in the topping, creating a marbled effect.
- Add the chocolate shell – Drizzle the Magic Shell chocolate sauce liberally over the entire dessert. Allow it to stand undisturbed for 1-2 minutes as it transforms into a glossy, crunchy shell that adds wonderful textural contrast to the creamy cheesecake beneath.
- Serve – For the cleanest presentation, refrigerate the completed dessert for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving. Alternatively, embrace the viral serving method by dramatically breaking through the hardened chocolate shell with a spoon and scooping out generous portions of the layered dessert.
Notes
- This viral dessert is inspired by Japanese-style cheesecakes, which are known for their light texture and beautiful presentation. The contrasting layers create both visual appeal and an exciting taste experience. For best results, serve chilled but not frozen. The dessert can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance and kept refrigerated until serving time.
