Ingredients
Scale
- 2 packages (16 ounce each) gnocchi
- 1-2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1 1/2 smoked sausage links, sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Garlic and herb seasoning, to taste
- Red pepper flakes, to taste
- 1 cup Alfredo sauce
- 1-2 cups Parmesan cheese, freshly shredded
- 4-6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Instructions
- Prepare the Sheet Pan
- Begin by preheating your oven to 450°F (230°C). Take a large sheet pan and line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Arrange the Base Ingredients
- Place the gnocchi, broccoli florets, and sliced smoked sausage onto the prepared sheet pan. Distribute them evenly across the surface to ensure everything cooks uniformly.
- Season the Ingredients
- Drizzle the olive oil over all the ingredients and toss to coat everything well. Sprinkle with garlic and herb seasoning and red pepper flakes according to your taste preferences. Make sure to toss everything again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
- First Baking Phase
- Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes. After this initial cooking time, remove the pan, carefully flip and mix all the ingredients to promote even browning, and return to the oven for another 15 minutes.
- Add the Toppings
- Remove the sheet pan from the oven. Pour the Alfredo sauce evenly over the roasted ingredients. Sprinkle the freshly shredded Parmesan cheese on top, and finish by adding the crumbled bacon pieces across the entire dish.
- Final Baking
- Return the pan to the oven for approximately 3 minutes, just long enough to melt the cheese and warm the sauce without reducing its creaminess.
- Serve
- Remove from the oven and let the dish rest for a minute or two before serving. Portion onto plates and enjoy while hot and bubbling.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can use low-fat Alfredo sauce and turkey bacon.
- Fresh gnocchi works best for this recipe, but shelf-stable gnocchi can also be used.
- Try adding other vegetables like cherry tomatoes or bell peppers for more color and nutrition.
- Leftover rotisserie chicken can be substituted for the smoked sausage if preferred.
- This dish reheats well in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
