- 2 ½ cups pecan halves, finely chopped
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 to 8 tbsp melted butter
- ½ cup pure maple syrup
- 24 ounces chocolate almond bark
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, maple syrup, and chopped pecans.
- Add just enough melted butter to bring the mixture together so it holds its shape.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls, placing each on a parchment-lined tray.
- Chill the balls in the refrigerator or freezer for one hour.
- Melt the almond bark according to the package instructions.
- Dip each ball into the melted chocolate and place it back on the parchment-lined tray.
- Let the chocolate harden completely before serving.
Notes
- Freezing the pecan pie balls for one hour helps them hold their shape while dipping.
- For a twist, add a tablespoon of bourbon to the mixture for an adult version.
- These can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or frozen for up to 3 months.
