Ingredients
- 1 pound sausage
- 1 package of Pioneer Brand Peppered Sausage Gravy Mix
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 6 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 can Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through. Break it up into small pieces while cooking.
- In a bowl, whisk together the gravy mix and 1 cup of water until smooth. Add it to the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the sausage gravy mixture into the greased baking dish.
- Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and gravy, then place the biscuits on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until biscuits are golden brown and eggs are set.
- Let cool slightly, serve warm, and enjoy!
Notes
- For a spicier version, add crushed red pepper flakes to the gravy.
- You can customize this recipe by adding veggies such as sautéed onions, bell peppers, or spinach to the sausage gravy layer.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
