Cottage cheese chips

Crispy, high-protein cottage cheese chips are the perfect guilt-free snack! This easy-to-make recipe requires just a few simple ingredients and can be customized with your favorite seasonings. Whether you’re following a low-carb, keto, or gluten-free diet, these cottage cheese chips are a healthy alternative to regular chips. Enjoy them alone or with a dip for a crunchy, savory treat!

  • Total Time: 30-35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup small curd cottage cheese (Good Culture or Daisy recommended)
  • Seasoning of your choice (Everything Bagel seasoning or Cavender’s Greek seasoning)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray it with oil to prevent sticking.
  • Drain Cottage Cheese: Drain the excess liquid from the cottage cheese using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth. This helps the chips crisp up.
  • Form the Chips: Using a spoon or small ice cream scoop, drop small mounds of seasoned cottage cheese onto the baking sheet. Flatten each mound with the back of a spoon to create thin, round chips. Leave space between each mound.
  • Bake the Chips: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chips are golden brown and crispy. Keep a close eye on them during the last few minutes to avoid burning.
  • Cool and Serve: Remove the chips from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes. They will continue to crisp up as they cool. Serve with your favorite dip or enjoy them on their own.

Notes

  • Customization: Feel free to switch up the seasonings based on your preferences. Try spicy cayenne pepper for a kick or Italian seasoning for an herby flavor.
  • Storage: Store leftover chips in an airtight container for up to 3 days, though they are best enjoyed fresh.
  • Dips: Pair these cottage cheese chips with guacamole, salsa, hummus, or your favorite dip for an added flavor boost.
